Summary: SugarPaws is a fully on-device app. It has no accounts, no login, and no backend. We do not collect, transmit, or receive any of your data. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What SugarPaws is
SugarPaws is a self-contained iOS app for logging a cat's blood glucose measurements and insulin injections, viewing that history as charts and statistics, and exporting it for your veterinarian. It runs entirely on your device and does not communicate with any NeuralConfig server.
Data we collect
None. SugarPaws does not collect, transmit, or receive personal data. It has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, and no user accounts. This is reflected in the app's App Store privacy label ("Data Not Collected") and its bundled privacy manifest, which declares no tracking and no collected data types.
Because the app has no backend, the data-collection, sharing, and international-transfer sections of the Master Privacy Policy do not apply to SugarPaws.
Data you store on your device
Everything you enter stays on your device under your control, including:
- Cat profiles (name, target glucose range, and an optional photo you choose)
- Glucose readings (values, timestamps, optional notes)
- Insulin doses (units, insulin type, timestamps, optional notes)
- App settings and preferences (units, reminder configuration, disclaimer acknowledgement)
This data is stored locally using Apple's Core Data and standard app storage. NeuralConfig never sees it.
- Device backups: if you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, your SugarPaws data is included in that backup. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy and your own backup settings, not by NeuralConfig.
- Photos: if you add a cat photo, the app reads the single image you pick and stores a small copy locally with your other SugarPaws data. It does not access your broader photo library or upload photos anywhere.
- Notifications: reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. No reminder content leaves your device.
Data you choose to export
SugarPaws lets you export your records as CSV or PDF and share them via the standard iOS share sheet (for example, to email your veterinarian). When you do this, the exported file goes only where you send it. NeuralConfig is not involved in and does not receive these exports. Once a file leaves the app, it is handled by whatever app or service you shared it with, under that service's terms.
How to delete your data
Because all data is local, you are always in control:
- Delete individual readings, doses, or cat profiles inside the app.
- Use the app's data-management settings to erase your records.
- Deleting the SugarPaws app from your device removes its on-device data (data already included in a device backup follows your backup's own retention).
There is no server-side copy for us to delete, because we never had one.
Children's privacy
SugarPaws is a tool for pet owners and is not directed to children. Because it collects no data, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
